New Life House Review offers services that is proven for a successful transition to recovery living. Stability, Support and Structure guides each resident to their new life. New Life House Review is a non-profit homeless shelter, rapid re-housing facility, and permanent supportive housing provider. Offering youth and adult education programs that enrich and enhance the lives all participants. Meeting the needs of homeless individuals and families and ending homelessness in Milwaukee. New Life House Review strives to Advocate, Educate, and Empower survivors of domestic violence.

What to Expect in Rehab Treatment at The New Life House Review

Their children had aged out of Hampton Roads’ special education system, and were ready for adult services and support. Many worried that cognitive limitations, medical challenges, behavioral issues, or other conditions, such as autism, would make it impossible for their loved ones to live safely in their own apartments. Up to 40 women and children are welcomed as guests each night in our clean, safe shelter. More than a roof over their head, our shelter is a place that provides a sense of safety and security and surrounds women with support needed to work on the root problems that led to homelessness.

Limited Medical Services

  1. Some beds are reserved for emergency housing, however, the majority are dedicated to men who are rebuilding their lives through CaringWorks’ residential treatment and transitional housing programs.
  2. We have many volunteers sharing their time with our families.
  3. They learn new skills, develop reliable sources of income, and create a healthy social network to support their future dreams.
  4. Treatment will vary largely on the client and how long they are staying with The New Life House Review.
  5. Domestic violence can happen to anyone, no matter their gender, age, race, ethnicity, religion, or sexuality.
  6. We are committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment by promoting a culture where people experience a sense of belonging and empowerment to help them achieve their full potential.

Setting up aftercare is a critical component for all clients and is handled on an individual basis. Our case managers can set clients up with sober living accommodations, assist in finding a sponsor and group meetings in their area, establish an ongoing MAT provider, and more. This safety net provides a needed landing place for those running out of options. At the age of 16, he revealed his sexuality to his mother and she made him leave the house. He was already abusing substances and that led to a 25 year journey of homelessness.

Providing Necessary Treatment Services

Your first day will primarily consist of meeting the staff, being introduced to your fellow clients, and settling into your room. Depending on eligibility, our grad house, Zach’s Place, or our Single Room Occupancies can be an option for current patients. In a few weeks I will be getting my Peer Education Certification actually. I would like to continue working on my speech so I can fix the damage from my stroke. Eventually I want to open my own treatment program for people affected by HIV/substance abuse. I would also like to chair meetings at N.A., which is something I started doing at New Life House Review before my stroke. Our CARF-accredited residential treatment program offers men over the age of 18 a safe and structured environment and the foundational skills to establish a new design for living.

While washing dishes and with housing help from his aunt, he obtained an apartment. However, the pressure of keeping up with rent and a life of drugs and “partying” ultimately led to bouts of homelessness and a positive HIV diagnosis in 2014. CaringWorks New Life House Review provides one-of-a-kind supportive housing for homeless men or men facing homelessness in metro Atlanta. Each year more than 130 clients call New Life House Review home while they move through their journey of recovery. The alumni of New Life House Review and other clients we serve find more than their sobriety. They learn new skills, develop reliable sources of income, and create a healthy social network to support their future dreams. Conveniently located in downtown Atlanta, it houses up to 70 men. Initially, many parents and family members of the over 120 people New Life House Review supports were, too.
